What Causes Profuse Sweating While On Citalopram?

I am a 60 y/o female who went through menopause 11 years ago. have been on Citalopram for approximately 10 years. Slowly weaned off over 3 months and last dose was 2 weeks ago. I stopped because I would seat profusely all over my body even just out of the shower and thought that may be due to the drug. I started a cleanse a few days ago through a holostic doctor. I have crashed emotionally and physically. Yesterday I called my psychiatrist and went back on the Citalopram and stopped the cleanse. I Am very concerned about the sweating I am experiencing. What are some of the conditions that this could be caused by?

I do understand your concern

“As” per your clinical history is concerned now you are taking 20 mg or 40 mg ? Tell your doctor to adjust dose because this medication has side effect like sweating so if after dose adjustment if your problem dose not solve then tell your doctor to change this medication.
