What Causes Prolonged Diarrhea And Cramping?

I ve had cramps, diarrhea since October every morning and sometimes all day. I have taken so many anti diarrhea pills I m worried. Do i have IBS anIBis so what can I do so I can leave the house? With this constant diarrhea many times I can t control my bowels and soil my panties, that s why I dont leave home.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have diarrhea and cramping . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food poisoning , gastroenteritis , irritable bowel syndrome , lactose intolerance , medication reaction or side-effect poisoning . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , CT scam , ultrasound and endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe ornidazole , anaspas , laxative , omeprazole along with anti allergic and anti inflammatory . For now eat light and no spicy , apply warm compresses on abdomen and take light walk after every meal .
