What Causes Prominent Vein And Pain In Middle Finger?

Hi. I recently notice a pinging pain as i closed my fingers into a fist, specifically in the big joint in my middle finger. When i examined my hand, i noticed that a vein was prominent around that joint. The area is now covered by a red linear bruise. What happened?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Respected Sir, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly. It is either inflammatory lesion of the local area or superficial skin inflammation over already existing ganglion of wrist joint. In my clinic I advise my patients *ice applications 3-4 times a day * cephalosporin group of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory agents according to the clinical severity of the same*avoid excess weight lifting / computer work * Keep BP and blood sugar level under control with regular follow up of the progress. Hope this clears your doubts. thanks regards , bye. take care , wishing you fast and speedy recovery from the same.
