What Causes Pulsations In Stomach?

hi im 24 years old i am a smoker. i have a this feeling in my stomach that feels like a beating (like my heartbeat ) a doctor once told me its nerves , however its getting worse i feel it more often now please help what could it be and why is it beating . worried.
