What Causes Purple And Red Bruising At Tip Of Tailbone?

Hi I have woke up two days ago with a purple and red bruising at the tip of my tailbone. (top of butt crack) It is extremely red with hard knots/swelling on both sides. The site is feverish with severe pain. I can t even bend over and pick something up off the ground. I m just curious as to what it might be. I was thinking possibly a spider bite??? Do to the location I can t really see. Didn t know if it could be something else.

After going through your query I concluded that you have swelling, pain, redness, and feverish. It is most likely infection as you are feverish and reddish. It may require incision and drained after examination by general surgeon. You may require antibiotics, becomplex and analgesic such as ibuprofen. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your query.
