What Causes Purple Bruises On The Legs With Pain?

I have been recently experiencing easy bruising and little purple bruises but they are only on my legs. I have also had some leg pain in my knee and hip as well as extreme fatigue, weakness, and lightheadedness. I went to my doctor and he did blood tests which showed a low white blood cell count. I am supposed to go back in two weeks and if nothing is better they plan on x-raying my leg and redoing the blood test. My doctor hasn t explain what any of this means, he just said stay away from sick people for the time being. Should I be worried? What could this be?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having purpuric rashes.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and levocetrizine for itching.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
