What Causes Purple Colored Knot Of Skin On Anal Opening?
I have a purple colored knot of skin (kind of a bump) on the opening of my anus. It is not painful at all except for if I mess with it too much it can start to hurt a bit. I ve noticed this off and on for a while now. Not sure how long... I think it goes away sometimes but then reoccurs.

Hello. For how long have you had this? Did you notice any blood in your stools? Do you have any constipation?
It might be a skin tag, or a hemorrhoid. Anal fissures are usually painful. However, I would suggest you consult with a general practitioner and he would probably want to examine you and look at the lesion before telling you for sure what it is and what has to be done for it.
