What Causes Pus Filled Bump In The Back Of My Throat?

I do not have tonsils. They were removed 2 or 3 years ago.
I have a puss filled pimple looking bump in the back of my throat. It has spread inside my throat to my uvula, so now it is purple and swollen. On both sides of my throat It is white with red veins like spidered thoroughout my throat. The only pain is the pimple looking spot.

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding white bumps in the back of your throat giving you pain, you are worried for it and your tonsils had been removed about 2 years back.

After analysing your symptoms and co-relating them with the possible pathological process it appears as you are having acute pharyngitis with oropharyngeal ulcers covered with slough. This is a bacterial infection, and may be manage as-

1- Tab Paracetamol.

2- Warm saline gargling.

3- Antacids with PPI.

4- Antibiotics (preferably broad spectrum).

5- Adequate fluid orally.

Most likely above will help you.

Regards.
