What Causes Putting On Of Weight Around Abdomen?
Hi Doctor, I am almost 60 years old weigh around 57 kg and 161 cm tall and have suddenly started to put on weight around the middle. I have not altered my diet and exercise 3 days a week for minimum of 2 hours per day. I am on HRT, Premier continuous and also Efexor 75mg. The fat around the belly is like jelly but I have not experienced any of the underactive thyroid symtoms as yet. Please advise. Email is below,

I really appreciate your concern, if you are on hormone therapy then this could be the cause of your weight gain so first thing you need to do is to stop the hormone and cut down the calorie in diet do exercise it may helps you in reducing the weight, genetic constitution could be another reason hope this information helps.
