Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Most likely it will be miliaria- a rash developing commonly in summer from blockage of sweat glands. It appears as minute papules over an erythematous base. Nothing other than frequent wetting with cold water (not ice cold) is needed. For some patients with itching, calamine lotion and occasionally antihistaminic drug will ofter discomfort. It is better to avoid talcum powder as it can exacerbate the situation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK, Pediatrician
