What Causes Rapid Hair Loss With A Normal Cbc Test?

i m a mother of a 5year old girl my daughter hairs are falling rapidly i di her cbc test n the report is normal doctor said lack or vitamins n minerals could be the cause i m giving her fruits n multivitamin tonic but still so worried abt her hairfall plzz help me out i would be gr8full to u

Hi...if CBC is normal then I suppose that hemoglobin level is normal in your grand daughter (low iron content which reflects as low hemoglobin is a risk factor for hair loss).

Some medical conditions — like hypothyroidism (a thyroid disorder) or hypopituitarism (an underactive pituitary gland) — can also cause hair loss all over your the child's head, although this is uncommon.

I suggest you approach a pediatric dermatologist regarding this.
