Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My question is about my daughter, she is almost 5, weighs a healthy weight of 48 pounds and is 45 inches tall. The problem is she has lost weight, and keeps losing weight since about April, and we are not quite sure why, besides her eating, or should i say lack of eating. It's almost like a failure to thrive sort of thing, do children this age do that, or could there be some underlying thing we are missing? She just don't eat much at all and as i said keeps losing weight.
HI Well come to HCM You have not mentioned how much weight being lost, if it is really condition of weight lost then this need to be taken seriously because there could be numbers of reason behind this as long as the age is concern and these may need some test including clinical examination some this could turn normal, take care have a nice day.
