What Causes Rashes On Chest With Stiffness In Neck?
I have some sort of rash on my chest - looks and feels like poison ivy but I wasn t anywhere near the plant (I m highly allergic so I know it well). I m thinking it may be some sort of hives but I also have a stiff neck....could these be related and should I be concerned?
If the rash is itchy, then it may be an allergic reaction to something that came into contact with that area. This may be clothing, cream, soaps etc. Fungal rashes are also usually itchy but not usually widespread.
Rashes can occur along with viral infections such as the cough/cold.
Neck pain can very rarely be related to meningitis which is infection involving the nervous system. This can be associated with a rash but again this is usually a generalized rash.
If the symptoms persist you may need to see your doctor for assessment.
I hope this helps
