What Causes Rashes On Lower Right Side Of Cheek In Infants?

Hi Doctor, my 5 month old baby has a rash on the lower right side of her cheek and behind her right ear. She keeps pulling at her ear. Is it an allergic reacting to a solid food (she had some butternut squash for dinner) or is it an ear infection? Or is it something else entirely?

HI...I have just read through your query. The possibilities could be -

1. Eczema
2. Food allergy
3. Skin and soft tissue infection there...but unlikely as you have not mentioned about any fever.

I Suggest you get the consultation of your pediatrician regarding this as - Skin conditions are best diagnosed only after seeing directly.
