What Causes Rashes On The Body While On Armour Thyroid?

I was on armory thyroid 120 for about a month and felt wonderful, blood pressure went down, lost some weight and then all of a sudden I broke out in a bad rash all over my body and had to quit taking it, my body has risen again and gained the weight back and feel awful, I m back on levothyroxine 100 mcg, but don t feel good at all, any suggestions on what is going on

Armory Thyroid is a thyroid extract from animals. Therefore it may contain traces of animal proteins to which you became allergic. Levothyroxine is a synthetic hormone and hence is unlikely to produce any allergic reaction. Get your TSH checked after you have been on Levothyroxine to ensure whether the dose is correct as the same has an effect on your feeling of wellness.
