What Causes Rashes To Jewelry And Allergy Towards Bites?

My daughter has a very bad reaction to any bites...mosquito/spiders/whatever bites she gets they fester/blister. She has been to the doctor/emergency room many times....she also gets rashes from jewelry (gold or costume) ...Is there a physiological disorder that we should consider?

Hi.
As per your case history your daughter has allergic reaction to nickel in jewelry.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid wearing nickel ornaments and wear full sleeve clothes to avoid further such episodes.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream when lesions appear.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
