What Causes Rectal Bleeding After Bowel Movements?

I think I'm anemic, I'm very tired all the time regardless of how much I eat/sleep. I have had two iron discharges in my lifetime and my doctors never knew why I got so severely anemic. They put it down to heavy periods, but I've been on the pill for about a year now and my periods are much lighter so it cant be that. I have had some rectal bleeding after bowel movements. I think I may have a heamoroid, or worms. I have itching around my anus. I don't know if it's worms or a heamoroid. Please help

Hello,
The most likely causes for rectal bleeding after bowel movements are hemorrhoids or anal fissure.Sometimes the rectal bleeding can take place in people suffering from rectal carcinoma.
The best for you would be to consult a surgeon and get investigated thoroughly.
Treatment would depend upon finding the cause.
Heavy periods, rectal bleeding, poor iron intake or some malignancy can result in severe anemia.
Thanks
