What Causes Rectal Bleeding And Lower Back Pain After Colonoscopy?

Hi I had a colonoscopy last Thursday. I am spotting blood and have pain in my lower back. It is constant but bearable.i had a fever with chills last night. Today continued pain in the same area. Blood is spotty and am very dissy. Is this something that can happen after a colonoscopy? They cut out a large polyp 1.7mm.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
To have some bleeding after colonoscopy for few days after the procedure is normal. But the fever with chills concerns me. IT might be due to infection. Please consult your surgeon & get proper management.
Till then..
Follow the instructions / medication / eating, cleaning .. exactly.
Thanks.
