What Causes Rectal Bleeding?

While i was using the restroom there was blood in my toilet water. Bright red. I didnt have to strain. I've had hemroids before and a colonoscopy before as well, so i thought i would know if it was that, but if i'm not straining then what could it be?

Hello,

Rectal hemorrhoids if they are internal, then they may bleed spontaneously.

Avoid spicy food, alcohol, smoking and caffeine drinks. Take high fiber diet, do regular exercise, yoga and drink plenty of liquids.

If symptoms not improved, then use syrup Lactulose after dinner for five days. Please consult your surgeon, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
