What Causes Recurrent Abdominal Pain After A Hysterectomy?
I had a abdominal hysterectomy 2 months ago and my stomach still hurts I saw 2 pieces of a stitch about 2 weeks ago and cut them well last night I pulled a stitch about 3 inches long out but there is still 2 spots that are very tender that I can feel knots under. How will the doctor get them out or do I leave them alone? Is this y I am still hurting?

Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Harshita's Response
Hi,
1. This can be because of the stitch abscess developed under the skin after you have pulled it out.
2. you can try taking some antibiotics like cephalosporins group e.g Cefexine twice a day for 5 days to prevent the infection to spread if there is any.
3. And for the extra suture do visit a doctor so that he can take it out for you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
