What Causes Recurrent Pain And Severe Concussions Long After A Head Injury?

I fell 5 1/2 years ago hit the back of my head, emergency room doctors said I had a severe concussion. The pain has never gotten better. I have gone to neurologists who have sent me to pain therapy, had numerous injections in the back of my head, neck and shoulders. Given all kinds of pain meds. Still in as much paid today as I was the day I fell.

Hello.
I have read your message.
The symptom are highly suggestive of Chronic post-traumatic headache.
Unfortunately, there is no approved treatment for this.
Most of the times, preventive migraine medications can help like amitryptiline. Non-pharmacologic treatments - cognitive behavioral therapy, biofeedback, and progressive muscle relaxation therapy- may be tried.
Best wishes.
