What Causes Recurring Abdominal Pain Post Food Intake?

I m having severe stomach pain in my belly button area every time I eat. It comes in waves. I m passing gas and my bm S are all normal. The pain only starts to subside while lying on my stomach. What could this be? Should I be concerned and be seen by a physician?
