What Causes Recurring Blister On The Finger In Infants?

My grand baby has a blister on her finger. 1st time she had it she was 1 month old and we took her to her ped and they said it was from sucking her fingers a lot and she did. She is now 1 year old and the blister is back in the exact spot , she does not suck on her fingers anymore. The spot never went away, is like a scar. Was told the scar would absorb with time, but now blister is back and it looks terrible. Does not seem to hurt or bother her though. Should we be concerned?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
HI...I think the scar tissue has a minor pressure injury and became a blister. It could get secondarily infected and may spread too. I suggest you see your paediatrician to ascertain if it is getting infected or upload an image in this website so I can guide you regarding this further.
