What Causes Recurring Bruises On The Body?

My 7 year old son has a reoccurring bruise on the lower part of his spine. He is white, overweight but active. We first saw it a couple of months ago. Our pediatrician did a CBC blood test and it was normal plus the bruise went away. Came back yesterday. Purplish in color, not raised, round.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history, your son is probably having eczema. My treatment advice is –

1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetirizine for itching.

If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.
