What Causes Recurring Neck And Shoulder Pain?

I have repeated neck and shoulder pain and sometimes it affects my arm too . I have had two operations on my knee and it s started to hurt again so was wondering if it all could be connected? I am taking pain killers and using heat pads but haven t been able to drive today as I can t move my neck at all without lots of pain. I had a severe headache with the neck pain today and was sick.

Dear Sir/Madam,
your pain and shoulder neck pain can be related with each other, if they are due to generalized arthritis. you need to tell us which operations you had on your knee and what was the operation performed. Although they could be part of a separate involvement also. over tense muscles of the neck can cause neck pain and headache along with shoulder pain.
