What Causes Recurring Rash Above Eye And Red And Runny Eyes?
My son 3 1/2 years old has a reoccurring rash above his right eye, some times spreads to eye lid, has been on chin a few times. Today his actual eye was red and looked runny. The doctor has treated this before stating it was impetigo, and another doctor stated it was herpes. The ointment seemed to work but continues to show back up, usually months apart. It doesn t seem to puss or burst, but does at end seem to dry up before going away. It doesn t seem like the doctors are even sure. I look at pictures of herpes and looks nothing like it, I also look at pictures of impetigo, and it looks like it could possible be the cause but it does not the golden yellow color they refer to and show pictures of. Any suggestions?
it can be skin infection. in herpes it spread in nerve route. very painful. it effect cornea as zoster ophthalmic-us. at the time of corneal involvement it is anesthetized, since there is nerve involvement. other type of infection will effect skin only. a dermatologist may be consulted.
