What Causes Recurring Red Bumps On Buttocks, neck And Back With History Of Having Shingles?

I had the shingles a year ago & ever since I have reoccurring small red bumps on my buttocks, then it will clear up a few days then break out in another area such as my neck, back, or arms. Is this a shingles outbreak since it clears a few days, then reoccurs?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the recurrent rash is painful then it is possible that it is related to shingles.

At the time of the rash, you should consider visiting your doctor for a review so it can be assessed.

There is a shingles vaccine that can be used in some persons to reduce the frequency and severity of attacks.

I hope this helps
