What Causes Recurring Stomach Pain?

my son aged 17 yrs is suffering from stomach ache since 1 yr. All the investigations, blood,ultrasound, endoscopy,CT scan,PET SCAN are normal. Even the doctors done appendicectomy too. Previously it use to come for 1 or 2 hrs per day then it ussually subsides without medications. past 3 days continiously he is having a pain. if he takes buscopan he wil b alrite for 5 to 6 hrs.after that once again he develops. NOW AS A PARENTS WE HAVE CONFUSED. WHT TO DO. Plz advice

Hi thanks for contacting HCM....

You have done all possible work up like USG, blood test and even endoscopy and CT scan also ....

So no chance of organic causes ....

Here it seems most likely functional bowel problem ....

So try to instruct your child to avoid outside food ....
Give him healthy balanced diet like green leafy vegetable , fruits etc more ....

Excess tea , coffe , smoking avoided ....

Non veg food very less .....

Avoid stress as it can aggravate gastric problem ....

Rule out parasites infection by stool examination ...

When gastric pain and spasm buscopan and omeprazole can be given. ..

Consult physician ...

Take care ...
