What Causes Red And Swollen Ankle?

I believe I have been bite by a bug. My ankle is red and swollen. I went to the doctor, who said it is dermatitis. I am taking antibotics. I still don t know what caused my ankle to react the way it has. I have been in the hospital for three days now. i don t think they know what happened. They are just calling it dermatitis. Mary

Hi,

Swollen and red ankle can be due to cellulitis, dermatitis or insect bite.You should take anti inflammatory medicines along with antibiotics.
