Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Fever, vomiting and rash is usually viral, and need only supportive measures. If he is playful when afebrile, eating somewhat good, and the lesions are not pus filled, we need not worry of MRSA or West Nile now. Give him Acetaminophen and Ondansetron 4 mg to control fever and vomiting. Give plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. Give in small frequent sips to improve retention.

If symptoms are not getting down after 3 days, he is lethargic even in between fever, or not at all eating, kindly review with his pediatrician for further evaluation and management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
