What Causes Red Lip And Herpes Sore In A 4 Year Old?

Hi I have a 4yr old, after some blood test and a dr's check up has been put on 450ml ferrous sulphate sy 150mg/5ml (fer) (owe 400) had his first 2.5mls last night this morning he has bright red lip and a herps sore on the left of his lip is there some thats in the ferrous sulphate that he allergy to do I take him to the Dr's do I stop his med's

Hi... ferrous sulphate is associated with the coating of the tongue and darkening of stools. Red lips and lesion is less likely because of allergy to ferrous sulphate.
