What Causes Red Rash On Foot?

Hi I ve had surgery on my foot to week ago on Monday , to remove bad callous and to break my second toe to help correct the way I walk (as I was walking on side of foot as it was to painfull to walk normally),I have noticed that were the scare is there is a red blochy rash I do believe a pin has been put in too.could u please tell me what the red rash is and why it is there.??

As you have mentioned about the surgery done on your leg probably a corrective osteotomy with external fixation was done. Hope the rash is due to
fixation material or some application for dressing. Please don't apply any substances that was not advised by your orthopedic surgeon. Don't rub or tease that area. Lastly no need to worry, consult your surgeon first. He will guide you & if needed he will refer to a dermatologist.
