What Causes Red Spots On Body While On Sertraline?

Hi. I have been taking sertraline for 6 weeks now and I have noticed about 25 little red spots on arms, back and chest. Some are itchy and some aren t please help as I take sertraline for anxiety and it is making me worse as I don t know what that are?? Thanks. Karl

Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
Skin rash is a recognised side effect of Sertaline.
It should blanch when you apply pressure over it. If it doesn't, then a purpura should be considered and you should see your doctor and have blood test done.
You may take an antihistamine if your doctor agrees
