What Causes Redness And Swelling On Clitoris?

I woke up this morning to a swollen irritated and red clitoris and hood. I have been with one man for 10 years. We haven t had sex for about 2-3 days. No pain when I urinate only when i wipe. Showers do not help. Medication I m currently on are Wellbutrin and Prozac. I was also taking Augmentin for a sore throat. It feels raw and looks like my skin /tissue may be peeling. No pus. No lumps, except the swelling.

Hello,

Antidepressants' side effects are dryness, sweating, hot flashes, anxiety, skin rashes and itching sensation. You are experiencing the side effects, consume adequate quantities of water and fluids. Take food rich in vitamin E or vitamin E supplements. Use vaginal lubricants before sex so that you are wet enough to have comfortable sex. Avoid using sex toys. Your partner and you should be gentle with yourself. Avoid rough masturbation for prolonged periods.

Redness and swelling on the clitoris is indicative of injury and trauma. Avoid sex and sexual activity for a couple of days, allow yourself to heal. Apply ointment Soframycin on the area affected. Take NSAIDs, naproxen, one stat after food to help reduce pain, soreness, swelling and inflammation. Take care of your hygiene, do not let it get infected. Do not touch or scratch. It should reduce in 4-5 days.
