What Causes Redness On The Face After Having A Cortisone Shot?
I got a cortisone shot in my left hip yesterday and now my face is flush red (only the face). I have no anxiety. My blood pressure has been elevated to 149/79 and BP is 79. I have been resting and not doing any physical work. Just walking around the inside of the house. I have not been bending over to flush the face. Is this normal. No change in appetite. Please advise.

The possibility is to be a side effects of corticosteroid.
Long-term complications of corticosteroid injections depend on the dose and frequency of the injections. With higher doses and frequent administration, which increases total systemic exposure to the corticosteroid, potential side effects included:
-puffiness,
-elevation of blood pressure,
-Flushing red(on face) was a common side effect of intraarticular steroid treatmant.
