What Causes Reduced Urine Output?

My 82 year old father is almost two weeks from his first dose of vectibix. He is now unable to urinate or defecate. He was able to yesterday but isn t able to now. He urinated late last night. That was the last time. At what point should he seek medical care?

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. If he is unable to urinate and defecate, he will require medical care immediately now.
2. I am not sure, about the stage of colo-rectal cancer being treated, but it appears to have invaded the bladder, leading onto obstruction. Not sure, catheterization is going to help, do meet your doctor.
3. Chemotherapy could take longer to work, but now it is time you go for medical care. Go to the doctor immediately.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
