What Causes Residual Head Pain On Palpation After A Head Injury?

Hi I hit my head 2 weeks ago on a pole. It hurt for about a week mainly when I touched it. After the first week I forgot about it but tonight after getting into an argument with my boyfriend, there was a sharp pain that shot through my head in the same area. Now when I touch the spot, it s hurts to touch it. What can this be?

Critical Care Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

It's better to get a CT scan of brain done to rule out any bleeding or clot.

It is advisable in your case to report to an ER as soon as possible and take the opinion of neurosurgeon apart from ER Physician.

Don't take stress and be relaxed, if there is any active bleeding that will progress as the blood pressure increases if you strain yourself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah
