General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Long-standing urinary frequency with rib pain may indicate underlying chronic inflammatory condition as nephritis, reflux of VU junction causing backpressure changes or else.

Sole dependence on ruling out of stone would be not appreciable at this stage and further possibilities have to be explored.

In my clinic, I recommend an IVP with a contrast CT scan of the renal system which will reveal all the possibilities of your concern and guide in accordance with an expert urologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
