What Causes Right Side Pain With Difficulty In Urination?
hi, im 23 years old male, 130lbs, 5 '6'' tall. i had my urinalysis result which says rbc 2-3, transparency -slightly turbid, i am experiencing flank pain at my right side, i do not have difficulty of urinating, are these alarming? do i need to do ct scan or utz?
Your urinalysis with slightly turbid urine and flank pain sounds concerning for a kidney stone. Although this can be quite painful, most will pass on their own. This doesn't sound overly alarming, but if your pain is severe then a CT scan would be the best test, and if the stone is large enough to not pass on it's own, then a urologist would have to remove it. I'd recommend drinking plenty of fluids, using tylenol or ibuprofen for pain, and if your pain worsens, then I'd see your doctor for a CT scan to evaluate for kidney stones.
I hope this is helpful. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
