What Causes Right-sided Chest Pain And Breathlessness After A C-section?

Hi, my daughter in law had a baby by c section this morning and started complaining about pain in her right lung about an hour after delivery, having trouble breathing, became non responsive, had to intubated, she's very irritable that she had to be restrained and medically paralyzed. She's also being kept heavily sedated. I'm very worried. Have you ever seen a case like this? Thank you in advance.

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

Please ensure that the patient is admitted in a tirtiary care institution for further treatment.
From your history it looks like case of pulmonary embolization.
Meaning obstruction in the lung blood vessels due to blood clots or amniotic fluid. This is uncommon but serious post delivery complication.
Due to this reason patient's oxygen levels get affected and this leads to further problems.
Proper treatment, adequate ventilation and maintaining her vital signs will help to get her out of this situation.

Please fully trust in your treating doctor.
May God bless you.
I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks
