What Causes Running Fever While On Tylenol?

My husband has been running a fever 102, up and down, with tylenol, asprin, since Wednesday night. He has been to the ER twice, including today, and dr s office twice. He has no other symptoms, coughing, sneezing, cold, etc., just the fever. While in the hospital they give hime a high dosage, today 3, tylenols. He was released and now his temp has gone up to 103.6. His chest xray was negative. They did a nasal swab, negative. His Wbc was elevated on Friday, over 14,000, but at the hospital today, they said it went down to 12, 000. He was released thinking that he might get better, bu now his fever is even higher. The drs think its viral, no antibiotics. Any thoughts?

Dear yes viral Fever may can cause high fever with body pain and rash. Few patients may develop arthritis and myalgia with vomiting.

But what about blood and urine culture?? What about malaria and leptospira infection.

Yes he may need up to 3-5grams of Paracetamol per day. But close monitoring of liver enzymes and renal function test may needed.

Give him plenty of oral or IV fluids, rest may useful.

Please send me urine and blood cultures report to me.
