What Causes Saliva Accumulation In Mouth With Stroke Patient?

my grandmother is 92 and has had a stroke over 2years ago. Only recently (within the last month or two) she CONSTANTLY keeps spit in her mouth and refuses to swallow it. she collects it almost immeadiatly after her mouth has been emptied. Is there any possible medical reason for this?

hi as you told your grandmother is having stroke and she refuses to swallow.yes this is possible as due to stroke nerve are compressed sometime and muscle are also effected so its medical condition that is related to stroke not to worry wish her good health.
