What Causes Sciatic Pain In Hip And Ankle After A Laminectomy?
I had a laminectomy and discetomy 9 years ago. Experiencing a bad flare up of sciatica from hip to ankle. Back does not hurt. Hurts most when walking or standing, but dull pain still when laying down - especially in shin. It s been 3 weeks. I exercise often (cardio and strength training) and eat clean. I just had an mri yesterday so I m not sure location. Given previous surgery, what s the likelihood of another sugery for me in the near future? Or is there a chance physical therapy will be enough?
Hi Welcome to healthcaremagic I have gone through your query and understand your concern. It is likely that you has compression in lumbar spine. It will be clear after seeing MRI that you need surgery or not.If symptoms not relieved after 2 weeks of rest, analgesics and Mecobalmine then you may need operation again for relieving symptoms.
