What Causes Scratches On Penis After Sex?

I just recently had a total hysterectomy and I am 4 weeks post op. I had a "cuff" made in my vagina where cervix would be. My husband and I had sex last night and now he has two scratches on the head of his penis. Could this be from the stitches not being disolved yet or something else?

In my opinion either the cuff itself was not inserted properly or the stitches not having being dissolved yet. Please do wait for a while longer or visit your doctor. I would also recommend your husband to use a condom for sexual intercourse just for a few days.
