Hi,

History not proper to come to conclusion. But I will mention possible causes for shivering in lower limbs. If he is not having loss of consciousness with lower limb shivering may be due to simple partial seizures. If associated kiss of consciousness may be due to generalized seizures.

Spinal cord compression may develop both lower limb weakness lead to shivering. Stroke may lead to weakness. Hypokalemia or hypocalcemia may present like seizures. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your neurophysician and get it done EEG, MRI brain and spine then he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
