What Causes Severe Abdominal Cramps, Diarrhoea And Blood In Stool?

I just returned from a business trip and I believe I have a food poison. Terrible cramping, diarrhea with blood. I have a terrible taste in my mouth as well. It started yesterday morning while I was out of town. I ate lunch at a Mongolian grill where the food is grilled so I have a bad feeling I have picked up something.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Eating outside at Mongolian grill increases the chances of intestinal infection as manifested by terrible cramping, diarrhea with blood and bad taste in mouth.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get a clinical evaluation and examination by a Doctor.
Get the stool and blood tested.
You may be started with an antibiotic and metronidazole.
Take probiotics, banana, curds and yogurt.
Take boiled and cooled water.
Take home-made fresh food only.
IF nausea or vomiting develops as this is like gastroenteritis, get a course of a PPI like OMeprazole, and Domperidone.
