Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Based on your symptoms looks like an acute muscle spasm. Since the pain reduced with heat and is in the middle of the back points more to a muscular origin pain. If the pain radiates to your left shoulder and is increasing on exertion, I would recommend you to visit a physician at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Fahim Sheik
