What Causes Severe Blockage In The Nose?

Hi, It s been long enough. I m facing a terrible situation. My nose is blocked : infact its the left side which is little blocked. Right one seems okay. During weather change, instant cold or instant heat, during monsoon rains or the times when new pollen appears, I m continuously sneezing. Besides, i have a Lab at home and he tends to shed lot of hairs . At times, I have running nose other times I have a BLOCKED nose with no watery discharge. The later situation is more troublesome. Well, I have been continuously depending upon Cetrizine Hydrocloride. Doc s suggested surgery but he also had the opinion that your sneezing will still continue. Please help !

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
This is very true that sneezing together with blocked nose is due to allergy.
Allergy can occur due to anything and it is the patient who can note and tell which are the things affect you the most, as you have to avoid all of them.
You have to live without Labroder dog.
In addition get a CT scan of the sinuses to see whether you need a surgery and whether this will be helpful to you.
Continue cetirizine.
Add on steroidal nasal sprays as these have the least complications.
