What Causes Severe Burning While Urinating In A Child?

hi my son is 4 years old and all of the dudden he started to cry i asked him and he told me it hurts to pee alot he doesnt even want to go i pull down the skin to help him but is coming from inside, we live in mexico and they gave me a medicine called amifarin(dicloxilina) they say is for infections which is what i think he has am i right?
