What Causes Severe Chest Pain And Breathlessness?

Hi , about 6 weeks ago, I felt like I was having a heart attach , the pain was so intense in my chest area, and I was struggling to breathe, the paramedics came and ECG was normal, and they said it was muscular. I went to the doctors 2 weeks ago, to get checked out, chest X-ray satisfactory, bloods satisfactory, BP 105/60 pulse 44 SATS 97 ECG - normal with right bundle branch block Do you think this occurred when I had the pain after the attack?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of severe chest pain with normal EKG, review EKG showed right bundle branch block, normal X-ray chest, blood pressure, pulse of 44, I think it must be 14 as 44 is too high and indicates severe breathlessness.
Yes, this is one of the possibilities that occurred during the last chest pain but in many a cases the EKG changes can take some time to develop.
Hence I would advise you full cardiac evaluation to have proper management.
Also have a second opinion of a Pulmonologist to see for any chest related problems and if yes insist for PFT that is pulmonary function tests and CT scan of chest. You will be treated as needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
